Follow Cedar Box Knits's board winter white on Pinterest.
Knitting season is in full swing, with colder temperatures and longer evenings - perfect for curling up on the couch with a project.  I love white in every season, but it seems especially perfect in winter. Maybe even more so here on the west coast where we rarely get a good snowfall!

I love the richness of teal. Not quite blue and not quite green: it's a deeper, scorched version of it's summery cousin turquoise. It evokes, for me, images of peacocks feathers, Moroccan textiles and antique furniture. With all it's depth and warmth, it is the quintessential late-summer colour.

Mustard / ochre has long been a favorite colour of mine. Faced with a wall of yarn I am always immediately drawn to the deep golden colour. For most of this past year, the colour choice has seemed out of place; too dark for spring, and too bright for winter, this may be the perfect late summer - early fall colour. With the days getting shorter and the afternoon shadows getting longer, I can finally embrace this colour unabashedly, in all it's glory.
